Everything can change in 1 year

Life used to be hard.

Then in April 24’, I had an inner nudge to fast during Ramadan—even though I considered myself “spiritual but not religious”.

Within days, I became a proud Muslim ☪️

In the same month, I set the intention to get married. In September, my wife and I started our new life together.

Before this, I was struggling to build a business. In October I started a daily newsletter to Muslim Creators. I already got 3 paying customers.

Everything can change in 1 year.

How?

Alhamdulillah. Allah made life simple for me.

Not easy, or without challenge.

No, I’m not posting here to brag that I have a perfect life. I don’t. Nobody does. And you should be skeptical of anyone who says they do.

But I realised that change comes from a two ingredient formula.

This might sound crazy, but if you follow this, I guarantee instant results.

“But Redim, how is that possible? Isn’t the outcome only in Allah’s hands?”

Yes, of course but let me explain…

I could just reveal it, but it would be anticlimactic and you wouldn’t get the full benefit.

So, stick with me.

Allah tells us in the Qu’ran his purpose for creating us [51:56]:

“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.”

Everything our creator does has an intention behind it.

Here lies the biggest key to changing your life 🔑 (acting with intent and purpose).

This is your two ingredient formula to change your life instantly (you don’t have to wait 1 year):

Intention + For the sake of Allah = Niyyah

(Niyyah is an Arabic word that means “intention” or “purpose”. It’s a fundamental principle of Islam and is the basis for every act of worship that a Muslim performs.)

Yes, as Muslims, we already set our Niyyah every day before each prayer, so this should come easy, no?

But why not use Niyyah with our goals too?

I love this quote:

“When you get what you want, that’s Allah’s direction. When you don’t get what you want, that’s Allah’s protection”.

When we approach our lives with this mindset, we don’t need to wait for any outcome.

Tell me this—who knows better?

Our fleeting desires, or He who created us?

Of course, Allah.

He tells us in the Qu’ran [3:159]:

“Once you make a decision, put your trust in Allah. Surely Allah loves those who trust in Him.”

So whatever change you’re seeking, you don’t need to wait.

Make the decision with sincere niyyah, trust in Allah, and take action.

Everything else is already in motion.

But there’s a deeper layer I also want you to understand.

The Qu’ran reminds us [13:11]:

“Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.“

This is the secret 🔑

Success or failure doesn’t matter—at the end of the day, it’s His decree.

The instant change you feel in your heart when you set an intention for His sake? That’s what we were always looking for.

Alhamdulillah.

Jazakhallah for reading. Any insight in my writing is a blessing from Allah, and any errors are my own or from the whisperings of Shaytan.
